I am grateful for my Momma, and even though I cannot be there to celebrate with her today, I am grateful her BIRTHDAY (today) will be spent with those she loves and love her in return.
You are one of the strongest women I know and you are the reason I am able to do the things I do today. I love you more than the world and miss you every single day. So, on your birthday, I wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY and say…
May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you’re wonderful, and don’t forget to make some art — write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.
… for welcoming me into this world with endless love.
… for tucking me in every night with a K-I-S-S and an L-O-V-E.
… for teaching me manners like chewing with my mouth closed and always saying “thank you.”
… for putting up with my temper tantrums and bad days.
… for letting me do anything I wanted to do, regardless of if it was seen as “boyish” (although I’m still not happy about the bowl cut).
… for letting me play my music as loud as I wanted (and sometimes needed).
… and lastly, thank you for giving me your smile. It makes any day better and brighter.
I L-O-V-E LOVE YOU, I K-I-S-S KISS YOU, I K-I-S-S KISS YOU ON YOUR F-A-C-E FACE FACE FACE!!!
